Brief Overview
We are launching a unique pomegranate syrup product and need a very eye catching logo and label that is distinctive. We are thinking classy, sophisticated but modern and artistically inspired. We are going after the "upmarket" consumer market and need to stand out on the store shelves. This will not be a cheap product and needs to reflect this.

Brief Overview
I'm a Director of a new company and we need a business logo created. I have run competitions before when this was actually part of sitepoint and the results have always been brilliant.

Requirements

FlightCaster is a soon to be launched product that predicts flight delays. We are creating a website, iPhone application, Blackberry Application etc. We're a team of 7 based in San Francisco with outside funding, growing fast, and no designer on board yet!

Small Restaurant Start Up Looking For Edgy/Cool Graphic
Brief Overview
My name is Jonathan Marks. I have been working in restaurants as cook/chef/director for some years now, and have finally worked towards realizing a dream to open my own place. I love food and drink, and the commraderie a small local restaurant can provide. I hope to achieve this and more.

The name of the restaurant is Rooster's Beak.
Target Audience
The target audience is pretty broad. It is a restaurant, so I want to appeal to lots of people, and have the kind of atmosphere and ambience that welcomes everyone. We are a "downtown" restaurant, which for my city usually means a little younger and really eclectic crowds. There is a large medical community in the area along with a university, and some government complex; so our lunch crowd will be a really interesting mix. My city is small and is surrounded by vast suburbia and country, so successfull restaurants have to be sort of destination places. In other words, people go a little out of there way to come because everyone drives. There is not a large foot traffic demographic. This, for me, adds extra emphasis to be unique, and have a really cool graphic.
Requirements
Since the restaurant is called, Rooster's Beak, I am obviously looking for a depiction of a Rooster. What I have in mind is something edgy, almost tribal looking with some embellishments on the beak, eyes, cockscomb, etc. It can be a profile of the head, or the body. I am NOT looking for something like the country rooster you might find at Cracker Barrel or Wal-Mart. I do not want a lot of colors. Mostly black lines and if anything, dark reds, yellows, oranges, blues. The graphic needs to be able to be converted down for a business card, and rendered wall size for the interior of the actual restaurant. I don't want something goofy and silly that you might find at Disney...you know, a rooster with sunglasses, holding a taco, and smiling. The key words for me are edgy, tribal, cool, eye catching. I want people to see the graphic and know it is this restaurant. I have had some setbacks already trying to find a graphic, so the sooner the better. I am very eager to find something, and look forward to seeing the results!

The back of the book must include an opening 3 line sentence, then 5 bullets that are two lines in length, and then a two line sentence. Underneath this will be space for a 2/3 line quote. Please use placeholder text and arrange in a way that benefits the design.
Please keep things simple, sharp, and clean.
The title is "Get More Momentum" and the tag line is "How ANYONE Can Start A Profitable Online Business TODAY". The author name is "Lee McIntyre".

Brief Overview
OpenPress's mission is to print the most affordable high-quality textbooks in the world. The "Open" in OpenPress refers to openly-licenced textbooks, for example textbooks licenced under Creative Commons copyright licences, as well as the open process in which orders are aggregated. Through its website and through direct contact with schools, colleges and universities, OpenPress will aggregate demand for printed versions of openly-licenced textbooks. Through economies of scale, OpenPress will drive down printing costs and make affordable textbooks a reality for learners.

OpenPress's mission is to print the most affordable high-quality textbooks in the world. The "Open" in OpenPress refers to openly-licenced textbooks, for example textbooks licenced under Creative Commons copyright licences, as well as the open process in which orders are aggregated. Through its website and through direct contact with schools, colleges and universities, OpenPress will aggregate demand for printed versions of openly-licenced textbooks. Through economies of scale, OpenPress will drive down printing costs and make affordable textbooks a reality for learners.

Schools and tertiary institutions as well as organisations that want to sponsor the printing of textbooks.
Requirements
Web 2.0 logo
Preferably bold primary colours
Usable in print and as logo for a website
Don't use gradients
Our initial thinking was that it should not be a text-only logo, an icon must be included that can be used in branding on books and brochures, but a text-only one might work so you know our bias but feel free to convince us otherwise.
Payment Methods
This is a open contest. First you have to send me a jpg format. If I select u then you have to send me the psd format. If you win the contest you will be given 150$.
The contest is only for Indian and Bangladeshi.
